Killed In Vietnam; Services Held Today
PFC Charley C. Kibel of the United States Marine Corps died on April 4 in Vietnam from wounds he received on April 2. Funeral services will be held Thursday (today) at the Vernon Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Merle E. Headding, from the Assembly of God Church at Florence, will officiate at the service.
Kibel was the son of Harvey Kibel of Penrose, a former Vernon resident. He graduated from Florence high school.
Interment will be held at Glendale Cemetery.
