1958 Louisville, Colorado "Mrs. Helen Grunkemeyer and Mrs. Elmo Jackson attended a bridge luncheon at the home of Mrs. C. E. Hannah in Boulder Thursday afternoon of last week. The hostess is the former Miss Margaret Earnest, a former teacher in the Louisville schools. Among the guests was Miss Miriam West of Cheyenne, another former Louisville teacher."

June 2002 Greeley "Viola Calhoun, 91, of Greeley, died on Friday, June 21.
Mrs. Calhoun was born to E.H. and Mathilda West on Oct. 12, 1910, in a farmhouse near Eaton.
She attended Lucas School, Eaton High School and Colorado State College of Education,
now the University of Northern Colorado. Mrs. Calhoun taught at Galeton for four years before going
back to school to receive her bachelor's degree. She then taught in Byers.
In 1942, Mrs. Calhoun married William Calhoun. They lived on a ranch near Byers.
She was active in Eastern Star and was Worthy Matron in 1948.
After the death of her husband, she moved to Greeley with her two small children.
Mrs. Calhoun was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Greeley Woman's Club and the
Republican Woman's Club.
Survivors are her daughter, Sue Calhoun Welsh; her son, Warren Calhoun; a sister, Miriam West;
and two grandsons.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Bonell Good Samaritan Chapel."
