From the Wray Rattler - February 15, 1902

The Methodist people of Glendale, Vernon and other communities, held a meeting at Vernon last Wednesday and decided the question of the location of a new church.  It was left to a committee of five chosen so that each community should be represented.  The committee chosen consisted of J.M. Zion, Mount Hope - H.F. Myers, Radnor - Mrs. Wm. Pyle, Vernon - Alvin Parker, Glendale, and C.V. Nordahl.  By a vote of four to five the location of Vernon was selected, one member voting for Radnor.  About $900 has been subscribed already and a building committee will be appointed very soon.  They expect to begin work early this sprit.  A $1,200 church will be erected.
