Missing Boy Called Dead
Robert Feyereisen of Akron, who was classified as among the missing, in a telegram received by his parents on Aug. 11, has now been definitely declared dead, according to another message received by his relatives here on Jan. 28.
He was a prisoner of war in Korea at the time of his death and undoubtedly had been a prisoner since he was reported missing.
Robert, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Al Feyereisen, was a veteran of World War II and re-enlisted on Jan. 28. 1949.
He was in the field artillery and had seen three years' service in World War II.

The body of Robert Feyereisen was returned to Akron last Friday evening. Funeral services were held on Monday morning at St. Joseph's Church in Akron with Rev. W. J. Coyne officiating with a Requiem High Mass. Burial was in the Catholic Cemetery in Akron.
Cpl. Robert Frank Feyereisen, son of Alphonse and Martha Feyereisen, was born July 4, 1925 in Washington County, Colorado, and departed this life near Sunchon, North Korea on October 20, 1950 at the age of 25 years, 3 months and 16 days.
He enlisted into the United States Army on November 3, 1943 and was discharged February 16, 1946. He re-enlisted in January, 1949 and was killed by enemy fire on October 20, 1950. He was a member of Battery C. 15th Field Artillery, Second Division.
He leaves to mourn besides his father and mother, one brother, John and three sisters, Alberta Feyereisen, Alive Jean Behrendsen and Alvina Brandon, all of Akron; one sister-in-law, Elsie and three brothers-in-law, Richard Feyereisen, Henry Behrendsen and John Brandon. One sister and one brother preceded him in death.
