Samuel Elemas Guilliams BIRTH 27 FEB 1827 in Coshocton County, Ohio, DEATH 11 AUG 1894 in Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa.

("Staff Sgt. George Parker Guilliams, 20, was killed in action in Germany April 11, 1945. His parents Mr. and Mrs. George Guilliams, 510 S. E. Rose ave., were notified Wednesday by the war department. Sergeant Guilliams, an infantryman, entered the army in September, 1943, and was sent overseas five months ago. He attended East High school. Surviving besides the parents are three sisters, Marjorie, 14, Maxine, 12, and Mary Ann, 9, and a brother, James, 17, all of the home."

"Services for Samuel E. Guil liams, 62, of Eagleville, Mo., injured fatally in an automobile accident, will be at 3 p. m. Saturday at the White-Bumgardner-Mack Funeral home. Burial will be at Glendale cemetery.
Guilliams died Monday in a Leon hospital of injuries suffered last Saturday in an automobile accident four miles west of Lamoni.
Survivors include four children, Mrs. Dorothy Johnson and Forrest C. Guilliams, of Des Moines; Charles Guilliams in the navy and Earl Guilliams in the army; two brothers, Willis, of Leon and George of Lamoni; one sister, Mrs. Estella Bohall, Des Moines, and 11 grandchildren.)

July 1908 Sterling " On Monday afternoon George Donner, whose parents live near Atwood, stole a bicycle belonging to Frank Ilirata, the Japanese porter of the sugar factory. It had been left standing in front of the Japanese boarding house on Front street for a minute and Donner could not resist the temptation to ride it off. Sheriff Arnold was notified and in an hour or two located his man at Iliff. He was held until Mr. Arnold arrived on the evening train. Deputy Clanton went down in a buggy and brought him and the wheel back. He was put in jail and yesterday his preliminary trial was held before Justice Propst. He plead guilty and was bound over to the next term of district court. As he could not furnish bail he was locked in the county jail for safe keeping."

"Kenneth Sherman "Kenny" Brown, 84, of Twin Falls, passed away Friday, Dec. 10, 2010, at Twin Falls Care Center, of natural causes with his family at his side.
Kenny was born Jan. 27, 1926, at Fleming, Colo., to Chancey and Irene Miles Brown. He was a World War II Army veteran and served in Europe during the Battle of the Bulge. He later served in the Pacific Theater as part of the occupational force after the Japanese surrender. After the war, he worked on ranches and was a bronc hand in Wyoming, Colorado and Montana. He met Joan Millstead and married her on Sept. 2, 1951, in Sterling, Colo.
With a growing family, he entered the construction business, eventually becoming a commercial construction superintendent. He was involved with this profession until he retired. Kenny and Joan have resided in Twin Falls since 1991, when they moved here to be near their sons, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joan A. Brown; sons, Mike (Toni) Brown of Boise and Mark (Jaime) Brown of Burley; granddaughter, Lesli Goetz of Twin Falls; three brothers, and one sister out of the area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, one sister, and his grandson, Shawn Sherman Brown."
