Photo History
Lawrence Alva Richards, aka L.A. Richards (son of James W. Richards). He was born in 1869 in Denver and he looks to be about 20-25 years old so maybe 1890-1895. In this photo he is wearing a Colorado National Guard uniform, circa 1895. Lawrence was named after his mother's good friend, Alva Adams, Governor of Colorado. We have no knowledge of what Lawrence might have done other than own a store.

Photo History
L.A. Richards & Co storefront,
somewhere in Denver. The street number is apparent, and if it were a higher
resolution, you would see that he dealt in paints, wallpager, signs, etc.
(actually right about his store name it states E. Richards, successor
to..L.A. Richards, I found that interesting. Havent' figured out who E.
Richards is as yet).
I imagine this photo was taken between 1895-1900. Lawrence married and
moved to Otero Co about 1895.
Maybe someone out there can identify the address. His home in 1890 was on
Highlands Ave, near Sloan's Lake.
