This one was taking during the Depression. Oscar Gudgel
was a real
estate broker. The banks were faced with repossessing autos when
the
Depression hit. Oscar traded with the banks - land for autos,
then he
"sold" the autos for whatever people had to trade
(horses, chickens,
cows, hogs).
